Ми використовуємо ці речення для вираження можливої за певних обставин дії в майбутньому. В англійській граматиці сполучники займають особливе місце. Завдяки їм ви можете об’єднувати короткі речення та односкладові фрази в довші і наповнені за змістом. Правильне вживання сполучників допоможе вам поліпшити не тільки усну, але і письмову мову.
Що таке сполучник?
Сполучник або conjunction – це службова частина мови, яка логічно пов’язує слова, фрази і частини речень. Сполучники в англійській мові відрізняються тим, що вони не змінюються і не залежать ні від яких граматичних характеристик з’єднуваних слів.
Сполучник because вживаємо коли пояснюємо причину. На українську мову because перекладається як "тому що", "так", "оскільки".
Наприклад:
I read because I like reading.
Я читаю, тому що мені подобається читати.
So є протилежністю because и указує на результат.
На українську so перекладається як "тому"
Наприклад: I like ice-cream. I eat it every day.
• I like ice-cream, so I eat it every day. – Я люблю морозиво, тому їм його кожен день.

Використання порівняльної конструкції as…as в англійській мові
Конструкція as … as перекладається на українську мову «такий же…як, так само…як». Ми використовуємо її, коли говоримо, що два предмета/людини схожі в чому-небудь.
Ця конструкція використовується при порівнянні і може показувати:
1. Що хтось/щось володіє такими ж якостями
В нашу конструкцію ми вставляємо якість (великий, гарний, розумний, швидкий), яка є однаковою для обох предметів/людей.
Ми ставимо її між as і as: as big as (такий великий як), as smart as (такий розумний як).
Схема такої пропозиції буде наступною:
Предмет/людина + дієслово to be + as + якість + as + другий предмет/людина
Приклади:
She is as beautiful as her sister.
Вона така ж красива, як і її сестра.
These apples are as tasty as those ones.
Ці яблука такі ж смачні, як ті яблука.
2. Дія відбувається таким же чином
Також ми можемо сказати, що робимо щось, точно так само, як робить це інша людина. У цьому випадку наша конструкція ставиться після дії. Дія може стояти в будь-якому часі.
Між as і as ми ставимо ознаку дії (швидко, добре, правильно).
Схема такої пропозиції:
Дійова особа + дія + as + ознака + as + другий чоловік/предмет.
She sings as well as me.
Вона співає так само добре, як і я.
He swims as fast as his father.
Він плаває так само швидко, як і його тато.
They work as hard as we.
Вони працювали так само завзято, як і ми.
Використання конструкції not as…as в англійській мові
Конструкція not as … as перекладається на українську мову «не такий … як, не так … як». Ми використовуємо її, коли говоримо, що один предмет/людина поступається в чомусь іншому предмету/людині.
My car is not as expensive as this one.
Моя машина не така дорога, як ця.
These boxes are not as heavy as those ones.
Ці коробки не такі важкі, як ті.
They play not as well as we.
Вони грають не так добре, як ми.
